Over the past several months, students in Sunrise’s High School program have spent program hours generating a collection of more than 100 unique pieces of inventory for sale.
Students utilized afterschool resources including computers, sewing equipment, an automated vinyl cutter, heat press, silkscreens, canvases, art supplies, frames, etc. to generate items focused on celebrating school spirit and student creativity.
Items for sale included custom t-shirts, handmade jewelry, framed and unframed artworks, and a large selection of 3D printed collectables, much of which was custom designed by after school students using cutting edge computer aided design (CAD) software.
The student showcase marked the culmination of a year-long project leveraging partnerships with PSADYN’s YouthHub Initiative and Mural Arts Philadelphia focused on exposing students to real-world entrepreneurship and business development experience with a focus on creative design, retail sales, and financial literacy.
We still have more inventory! Look out for more pop-up shop events like this coming soon!
