Virtual Office Hours at
South Philadelphia High School

Sunrise programming is running twice weekly at our South Philadelphia High School Site. Students are working on structured activities with Sunrise staff about College and Career Readiness, participating in virtual campus tours using youvisit.com, and working on their resumes using tallo.com/Sunriseofphila. More importantly, it's a space where students can connect with our staff and continue to build capacity and resilience from home.

"We want youth to know we’re trying to recreate their safe space and keep us all connected" High School Coordinator Brianna Morales described the experience of running Virtual Office Hours for students.

iReady Literacy support with Key, Southwark, and Stanton schools

Through our partnership with the Uncommon Individual Foundation, Sunrise has been able to support students virtually through iReady literacy. Site Directors have been calling families to provide them with login information for their iReady accounts and students have been logging on!

Staff Professional Development

Sunrise has been working with staff and partners to find productive professional development opportunities for staff. Some of our partners have great resources surrounding this, such as the Netter Center's UACS Online Resources Spreadsheet, which was connected to Sunrise from FabYouthPhilly and WPPN.
They ask that organizations make a copy of this document to use with their staff.

Sunrise has been using the You for Youth platform to provide opportunities to Sunrise staff.

In partnership with Lakeside Global Institute, we've been able to connect staff who had been participating in the 6 week Enhancing Trauma Awareness course, to continue their work digitally.

Thank you to all our families who took the time to take our Survey!
