Sunrise Launches YouthHub

Sunrise has launched it’s YouthHub program at South Philadelphia High School!

“The Pennsylvania Statewide Afterschool/Youth Development Network (PSAYDN) is thrilled to announce the development of Pennsylvania YouthHubs. Through generous funding from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, the three awarded Hubs, Sunrise of Philadelphia, Inc., Youthplaces, Inc. and the Central PA Institute for Science and Technology, will lead the state in an innovative approach of working with and on behalf of students in entrepreneurship and career pathway opportunities”, stated PSAYDN director Laura Saccente.

The Goals of the Pennsylvania YouthHubs:
1. Launch entrepreneurial and STEM programming and expand career pathway models to provide greater access to programming for under-served students.

2. Equip the selected organizations and providers with training, programs, and support through established and new partnerships to ensure entrepreneurial and STEM leadership in the targeted Youth Innovation Hub regions.

3. Transform the local/regional capacity of organizations and individuals through entrepreneurial- inspired YouthHubs that are fueled by openness, community, and collaboration.
