  • Opportunities for career exposure and direct work experience

  • Hands-on enrichment activities and classes led by experienced childcare professionals

  • Direct mentorship opportunities

Engaging Youth Through Research Driven Curriculum

At Sunrise, we work to build and maintain a family-like afterschool atmosphere designed to support each youth as an individual.

Our program model focuses on providing an engaging hands-on environment consisting of:

  • Structured activity blocks

  • Informal play periods and recreation time

  • Opportunities for athletics including sports clubs

  • Arts and crafts

  • STEM and digital literacy

  • A progression of educational enrichment activities.

Program curriculum focuses primarily on academic development while providing meaningful opportunities for social emotional learning, mentorship, and structured peer-to-peer interaction.

Uniting Schools, Families and Communities

As an embedded service provider within several Philadelphia public schools, Sunrise works closely with administrators and other on-site partners to plan, coordinate, and execute meaningful support for youth.

We also work closely with numerous community partners, and resource groups to provide supportive opportunities built to encourage young people to stay on track to high school graduation and connect to post-secondary education and training!
